Nicole has over 20 years in the field as a social worker working with at risk youth, adolescents, young adults, and families.  Nicole also has worked with adults and seniors in an outpatient setting as well as with comprehensive medical and substance use issues in a hospital setting.  Nicole specializes in trauma, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, work-life balance, and everyday life stressors.  Nicole also has experience treating ADHD, ODD, and other disorders.

Nicole specializes in Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavior Therapy or TF-CBT for those who have experienced or witnessed trauma.
Nicole understands complex family dynamics, how events in childhood can impact social relationships and everyday functioning, and how overwhelming life can be from everyday life stressors.

Nicole’s counseling philosophy draws from various techniques including CBT, wellness, self-care/mindfulness, and solution focused therapies as well as aspects of yoga/relaxation, art therapy, and eco-therapy.  Nicole feels there is no one size fits all when it comes to therapy and will work with the patient in a person-centered approach to identify their individual strengths and incorporate skills they want to learn to reduce their symptoms and improve their overall well-being both individually as well as in their relationships with others.
